Drawing forming process is a stamping process in which a blank plate is formed into open hollow parts by a die. As one of the main stamping processes, drawing is widely used. Thin wall parts of cylindrical, rectangular, stepped, spherical, conical, parabolic and other irregular shapes can be made by drawing process. If combined with other stamping processes, more complex shapes can also be made.

The use of stamping equipment for the product of tensile forming processing, including: tensile processing, redrawing processing, reverse stretching and thinning tensile processing.

When using stamping equipment for stamping and drawing processing, the following types are included:
1, cylinder drawing (Round drawing) : with flange (flange) cylinder product drawing. The flange and the bottom are plane shape, the side wall of the cylinder is axisymmetric, the deformation is evenly distributed on the same circumference, and the blank on the flange produces deep drawing deformation.

2. Ellipse drawing: the deformation of blank on flange is tensile deformation, but the deformation amount and deformation ratio change correspondingly along the contour shape. The larger the curvature of the part, the larger the plastic deformation of the blank; Conversely, the smaller the curvature, the smaller the plastic deformation of the blank.

3. Rectangular drawing: rectangular piece formed by one time. During stretching, the tensile resistance at the rounded corner of the flange deformation zone is greater than that at the straight edge, and the deformation degree at the rounded corner is greater than that at the straight edge.

4, Hill drawing: when the side wall of stamping parts is inclined, the side wall is suspended in the process of stamping, not stick die, until the end of the forming die. The deformation characteristics of different parts of side wall are not completely the same during forming.

5, Hill drawing: the blank deformation of hill cover plate in the forming process is not simple tensile deformation, but the composite forming of stretching and swelling deformation simultaneously. The deformation of the blank on the pressing surface is tensile deformation (tensile stress in radial direction and compressive stress in tangential direction), while the deformation of the blank inside the contour (especially in the central region) is expansive deformation (tensile stress in both radial and tangential directions).

6, With flange flange drawing: when the spherical parts are stretched, the blank is in local contact with the spherical top of the punch, the rest are mostly in a free state of being suspended without constraint. Therefore, the main technical problem of this kind of spherical parts is the severe thinning of the local contact part, or the instability of the surface part.

7, Flange drawing, flange part of tensile products are shallowly stretched processing. The stress and strain conditions are similar to compression flanging. Due to tangential compression stress, it is easy to wrinkle, so the forming limit is mainly limited by compression wrinkle.

8, Flange drawing: flange of the flange of the previous process of tensile products are flange retensile processing, which requires the material has good plasticity.
